OVERVIEW
Following the TES Conference 2017 (the first conference on Schistosomiasis organized in Cameroon, entitled “Towards Elimination of Schistosomiasis: a paradigm shift”), the “Schistosomiasis and STH Week” is a special wider event organized to celebrate the achievements of schistosomiasis and STH research and control in Cameroon. It’s an opportunity to pave the way towards the elimination of these neglected tropical diseases.
This premier gathering in Cameroon for all stakeholders working to overcome the impact of schistosomiasis and STH will bring together health and educational personnel, scientists, experts, donors, policy makers, non- governmental development organizations and community members to discuss progress, challenges and strategies to move towards the elimination of schistosomiasis and STH in Cameroon.

REGISTRATION
This is a closed event, so participation is strictly by invitation only.
There shall be no open registration for this event.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the Schistosomiasis and STH Week is to provide a platform for the dissemination and discussion of control achievements and research findings, upon consideration of the exciting paradigm shift towards the elimination of these diseases.
KEY OUTCOMES
The key outcomes of the Schistosomiasis and STH Week includes the presentation and launch of 4 reference documents for the control of SCH and STH in Cameroon, namely:
- The Atlas of SCH transmission
- The Atlas of STH transmission
- The Progress Report 2003 - 2018
- The SCH/STH Strategic Plan 2020 - 2025
