Are you interested in schistosomiasis research and elimination?

The TES conference was the premier gathering in Cameroon for all stakeholders working to overcome the impact of schistosomiasis. It brought together over 90 scientists, experts, donors, policy makers, non-governmental development organizations and students from all over the world to share and learn from each other's experiences and perspectives. The conference provided a platform were discussion around the  progress, challenges and strategies in shifting from a morbidity control approach to elimination of schistosomiasis were had. This led to recommendations which will serve to push forward the schistosomiasis elimination agenda. The structure of the conference consisted of plenary presentations, panel-led discussions, and poster sessions

REGISTRATION AND FEES 

The TES Conference 2017 was strictly by registration only.  Registration was done via the online registration form and fees were paid on-site, on the day of the Conference.

PROGRAM AND AGENDA 

A comprehensive agenda of the conference was made available for all participants. The program incorporated plenary sessions, panel-led discussions, poster sessions and speed networking with experts. For more information on the program and to view the conference report, please visit the program page.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

We accepted abstracts which were presented at the conference as the goal was to present the best novel research in all areas related to schistosomiasis. Registrants were encouraged to submit scientific abstracts related to their work on schistosomiasis.  All abstract submissions were made electronically through the online submission form. 

HOTEL AND TRAVEL 

We were very pleased to welcome all international delegates and participants to Yaoundé, Cameroon for the TES Conference 2017. To help ease planning, most of the conference delegates and participants were lodged at Mont Febe Hotel, the venue of the conference. Few participants opted for alternative hotel options which were in close proximity to the conference location. 

SCHOLARSHIP

We were pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships to Masters and PhD students in the field, which facilitated their participation in the TES Conference 2017.
