As part of the SHIS-CAM project, researchers from the Centre for Schistosomiasis and Parasitology (CSP), the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), and the University of Perpignan met to review preliminary findings from the initial field activities and discuss the next phases of the research. The meeting provided an opportunity to examine early results, assess field implementation, refine research approaches, and identify key scientific directions for the continuation of the project.
Discussions focused not only on data collection but also on maximizing the scientific value of the findings and strengthening the evidence base generated through the SHIS-CAM initiative. This collaborative review process supports the integration of parasitological, molecular, epidemiological, and geospatial perspectives, ensuring that the research outputs address key scientific questions and contribute to the broader objectives of the project supported by Wellcome Trust.
